Mini pom pom garland................

So............................ I have been getting crafly with felt, the felt comes as tufts of coloured fibres and you have to work it really well to make anything at all out of it .......

I have made them into a garland for Lolas side ........... Photos will follow................. Now just Darceys to do?!

The house is coming together............. The Girls room is nearly done

So.............. We are getting there the floor is layed and the loft has been finished so I have spent some time putting together all the bits and bobs that I have been collecting.

 

 

 

 

I love the oversized tulle pom poms, they are perfect in the corners and the large hand made bunting ........a perfect use for the left over bits of fabric.

 

The girls are sharing a room so lets see how that pans out.?!

Little Wren

Lola's friend turned three the other day so I had the chance to have some fun on the sewing machine trying out a new technique.

I rather like it, Liberty print fabric and stripe detail piping and little bird (Wren of course)

The girls room..............

I can't wait for the girls room to be ready to paint, there are so many thing that I have made that have been put into storage ready to pull out ant put up.

I just can't stop making things for their room (and its only little)

Felted balls ........... All will become clear in time................ Watch this space.

British summer time............

I have been knitting, bobble bonnets................. Perfect for the wonderful summer we are having!!

I'm not sure that we are going to get to any actual festival this year but should we be lucky enough Lola will be in festival style heaven..........

House decor update.............

We finially have some doors they arived at the weekend.

The girls are loving the building site I'm not sure that they are going to have quite as much fun when we get the floor layed this weekend, the parquet, the dust, the ladders............. what more could a kid ask for?

Summer time .......... and the living is easy.............

So my little bubbles has turned three.

Summer has arrived and brought with it a small amout of attitude.

Miss Molly

So I have been playing with a new project over the last week.................... Miss Molly is the little cat that I have made for a special little girls (Martha) 2nd Birthday.

Miss Molly is wearing the bridesmaids dress fabric that I wore for Martha's Mummys wedding. It was hard to let her go, Lola and I have become very attached!!

Easter

So easter was alot of fun, I dressed the girls up as spring flowers and we went to to local play group for an eater party................. Here is my little Darcey daffodil.

and here she is sporting the hat that I wore 25years ago for the local carnval.............. the inspiration!!

Kids Fashion Week 2013

So.......... Last week I was lucky enough to have the chance to take the girls to the Kids Fashion Show for the very first Fashion week

Clearly we were feeling for this particular colour blue (Vintage 1940's coat and Pinner Station waiting room)

Darcey is wearing: Navy tights (Gap) Cream Top (Mini Mode) 

We had a wonderful time and I Hope that this will be the first of many................. My wonderful friend Reshma was there to mark the momentous occasion It's going to become a yearly event I hope.

The Steels Are Here

So the steels for the floor arrived today and had to be craned in through the windows that the previous owner had installed ......... very exciting and lovely shot of Roy and Steve.

Tomorrow the skip arrives ............. yay its really happening!!

Wedding Date Cushions

So the wedding season is approaching and orders are coming in....... I have been looking at a new colour way this time it’s a soft grey with Vintage Green embroidery.

I really like how it looks and compliments the preppy look.
I have a turquoise ( hense the threads) and hot pink colour way in work so will be posting those next week.

Strawberys and Oranges

First car boot of the year............

Now I love a car boot sale and after a visit to Aldenham Country Park last week we discovered that there is a car boot sale there every Saturday............
 
So after a little bribery which involved an adventure to find a monkey for Lola and a Giraffe for Darcey (Lola clearly wanted to go to the zoo not to a car park in the rain) we set off..........

Wet cold and about 4 stalls it was a good job the entrance was very reasonable and there was a playground there.

But guess what the first thing we found was........................................He will be lovingly treated to a spin round the washing machine regardless of what the label says.
